Why Santa Clarita?
I remember when my wife and I first got engaged and she asked me “where do you want to live?” We were both from the San Fernando Valley and found that it no longer met our interest, especially with regard to raising a family. She suggested a new area known as “Valencia” and I said, “Why do you want to move way out there?” Well, in 1986 we put a deposit down on a new townhome and we have lived here ever since. So, indeed, WHY SANTA CLARITA? First, the 200,000 people that live in the Santa Clarita Valley today all enjoy one of the safest cities in the United States of its size. Along with Thousand Oaks and Simi Valley, Santa Clarita is consistently ranked by the FBI as one of the 10 safest cities in the US over 100,000 people. Next, is overall quality of life. Santa Clarita is a newer community that is planned to enhance quality of life. Residents enjoy dozens of parks, golf courses, pools, bike and hiking trails, sporting events and community events that draw people together. People are very friendly and are drawn here mostly because of family. Third are some of the highest rated public schools in California. Fourth, would be the job opportunities that the Industrial and Valencia Gateway Centers offer and reasonably close proximity to employment centers in Los Angeles and surrounding areas. Fifth would be a wide variety of housing in the 6 towns that make up the Santa Clarita Valley (Click on a link to the right for more information on the Towns & Areas that make up Santa Clarita). Homes are typically newer than in surrounding areas and offer comparatively good value for money, especially for the high quality of life that we all enjoy!
